What are your service hours?

Our regular service hours are Mon-Fri 10am-5pm. We are often available on an as needed basis during other hours; however additional fees may apply. See our rates page for more details.

Who are your sitters/walkers?

At Divine Canine we place great emphasis in hiring intelligent, responsible, and nurturing people as our sitters. We make sure whoever works for us is someone that we would completely trust with our own pets.

Are you bonded and insured?

Yes, we are fully bonded and insured and maintain membership with The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS).

Will my dog walker/pet sitter arrive at the same time every day?

During our initial visit with you and your pet, we will establish a two hour time window for our dog walker or pet sitter to arrive that is ideal for your schedule.

Will I always have the same dog walker/pet sitter?

You will be assigned a primary dog walker whose job it will be to take care of your pet. However, there are occasions where sitters need time off or become sick or are not available for a short period of time. For these cases, we assign a substitute for your pet. This sitter will have been trained specifically on your pet needs BEFORE he or she ever visits, and will be given all the information needed to adequately take care of your pet.

What is your service area?

We primarily serve Chicago's north side neighborhoods, including: Ravenswood, Uptown, Andersonville, Lakeview, Roscoe Village, Northcenter, Lincoln Square,  Sheridan Park, Edgewater.  Please see our map for our exact service area.

What are your rates, and do you charge extra for holidays?

Yes, holiday walks are subject to additional fees. Please review our rates page for an outline of all our fees.

Why do you require two sets of keys?

We require an extra set of keys in case of an emergency. All keys are kept in a lock box when not in use for the day. Keys are labeled only with your pet's first name and our business phone number.

Can you administer medication to my pet?

Yes, we can, and there is no additional charge for administering medication.

Why do we have to meet before you start visiting my pet?

We like to get information about your pet before we begin visits, and we want to ensure your pet is comfortable with his or her sitter or walker.

How many dogs do you walk at one time?

We walk all dogs individually unless there are multiple dogs in the same household or if we receive a special request from one of our clients.

What kind of payments do you accept?

We accept payments by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, or the following online payment services
